Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are just as they sound: they bridge the gap created by missing teeth. There are four different types of dental bridges: traditional bridges, which are the most common type, cantilever bridges, Maryland boned bridges, and implant-supported bridges. We use bridges to replace missing teeth caused by tooth decay, a sports injury, or any other dental situation. With a bridge, you can maintain the shape of your face, restore your smile, avoid healthy teeth from shifting out of position, and improve your speech and ability to chew.
Bridges are made of two or more crowns (one on each tooth and on either side of the gap); the two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth with a false tooth/teeth in between called pontics. Pontics can be made of gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. The process takes a few weeks; however, the results are worth the wait.
